Where do I download the Zoom desktop app from the official website instead of using it in the browser?

I keep joining work meetings through Zoom links in my browser, but colleagues say the desktop app is more reliable and has more features like virtual backgrounds.

The right place on Zoom's website to download the desktop client for Windows, and how to make sure meeting links open in the app afterwards.
What You Have Already Tried
When I go to zoom.us I mostly see pricing plans and sign-up prompts. I found a Downloads page eventually, but it lists several things — Zoom Workplace, Outlook plugin, browser extension — and I'm not sure which is the actual meeting app. Meeting links also still open in my browser.
